Our Veterinarian
Dr. Shannon Ivey
Dr. Ivey, who earned her veterinary degree from the University Of Tennessee College Of Veterinary Medicine, purchased Hidden Oaks Animal Hospital in August 2012. Her special interests include soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, ophthalmology, chemotherapy, and behavioral medicine for companion animals. In addition to caring for dogs and cats, Dr. Ivey enjoys providing avian and exotic animal medicine and surgery. She has worked extensively in the veterinary industry, providing care to a wide range of animals in a variety of settings, from conservation field work to university settings and more. Dr. Ivey is dedicated to bringing new and innovative therapies to her patients.
Our Veterinary Technicians
Jessica Hollis
Our Veterinary Technician Team Leader and laser safety officer, who has been a part of the Hidden Oaks Animal Hospital team for more than 17 years, has earned a number of job-related awards and achievements including “Excelling as a Manager or Supervisor” and “Veterinary Technician Nutritional Counselor.” She loves caring for the animals and being a part of nursing them back to optimal health. Jessica enjoys performing dental procedures, bringing pets’ teeth back to pearly and white.
Brook Smith
Brook hails from a small island in Maryland, but has made her home in Florida. She is a Certified Veterinary Technician, receiving her Veterinary Technician degree from St. Petersburg College. Brook’s favorite part of working at Hidden Oaks Animal Hospital is serving our clients and their animals, ensuring that they keep their best health! At home, her animals include Xena the German Shepherd and Boobas the Hemmingway Cat.
