Our Veterinarian

Dr. Shannon Ivey

Dr. Ivey, who earned her veterinary degree from the University Of Tennessee College Of Veterinary Medicine, purchased Hidden Oaks Animal Hospital in August 2012. Her special interests include soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, ophthalmology, chemotherapy, and behavioral medicine for companion animals. In addition to caring for dogs and cats, Dr. Ivey enjoys providing avian and exotic animal medicine and surgery. She has worked extensively in the veterinary industry, providing care to a wide range of animals in a variety of settings, from conservation field work to university settings and more. Dr. Ivey is dedicated to bringing new and innovative therapies to her patients.

Our Veterinary Technicians

Jessica Hollis

Our Veterinary Technician Team Leader and laser safety officer, who has been a part of the Hidden Oaks Animal Hospital team for more than 17 years, has earned a number of job-related awards and achievements including “Exceling as a Manager or Supervisor” and “Veterinary Technician Nutritional Counselor.” She loves caring for the animals and being a part of nursing them back to optimal health. Jessica enjoys performing dental procedures, bringing pets’ teeth back to pearly and white.

Cheridyn Lucas

One of the Hidden Oaks Animal Hospital team’s veterinary technicians, Cheridyn, loves working with and helping the animals that come through our practice. She is one of our nutritional counselors and has been with our team since 2011. Cheridyn is known for her gentle touch with all of our small and large patients.

Our Office Manager/Bookkeeper

Linda Ermatinger

As a St. Leo University alumna with over 35 years of business & accounting experience, Linda has been a great addition to our team. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, including her “granddog” named Lucy. Linda also loves sports, movies, reading, photography, and playing golf.

Our Client Care Team

Alyson Argue

Alyson is our client care team leader, and enjoys working with clients on a daily basis. As a former student at USF and SPJC, she earned her Veterinary Assistant degree before joining our team at Hidden Oaks Animal Hospital in 2009. She loves being around animals and caring for them, as well as meeting their owners and helping them feel comfortable while they are at our practice.

Nichole Armentrout

Nichole, who has been with our team for more than 7 years, has an Associate’s degree and is working toward her Bachelor’s in marketing degree. She loves working with our clients and patients at Hidden Oaks Animal Hospital. To her, the most important focus is getting sick patients healthy again.

Courtney Dattoli

Courtney is a Certified Veterinary Assistant and winner of the Bronze Presidential Award. She loves taking care of the animals and learning more about them, as well as being a part of our team at Hidden Oaks Animal Hospital, working with some of the best people in the world!
