Although many things have changed since we first opened our doors in 1987, one thing has remained the same here at Hidden Oaks Animal Hospital: our desire to provide quality, compassionate care for your companion in a peaceful atmosphere. Our AAHA-accredited, Cat Friendly Practice is equipped with the latest in veterinary technology and equipment. In addition, we offer state-of-the-art services and comfortable boarding accommodations, so you can be confident that your pet will always receive the best possible care we can offer every time you bring them to see us.

Our hospital also has the privilege of having a team headed by Dr. Shannon Ivey that shares her mission of creating an environment where pets can feel relaxed and well-cared-for. In fact, unlike other veterinary hospitals in the Tarpon Springs area, Dr. Ivey lives on-site, which allows her to provide more frequent and immediate overnight care to patients.

AAHA-Accredited Hospital

To further our mission of providing your companion with the best possible care, Hidden Oaks Animal Hospital has chosen to become accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). A veterinary hospital must be adhere to over 900 standards in veterinary excellence—in areas that include cleanliness, patient records, and technology—to become AAHA-accredited. Only a small percentage of veterinary hospitals in the country hold this accreditation, and we are proud to be one of them.

Certified Cat Friendly Practice

We know how stressful a trip to the vet can be for a cat, which is why we are proud to also be certified by the American Association of Feline Practitioners as a Cat Friendly Practice (CFP). Our certification indicates that our staff is specially trained to address a number of challenges and difficulties that are specific to felines. It also demonstrates that we understand how to approach and handle cats in a gentle, caring manner, so your cat can have a stress-free visit to our hospital.

Helping the Community

Our passion for helping pets down the road to wellness doesn’t just take place within the walls of our hospital. We also work with the community, offering our services to local feline rescue groups and homeless pets, and supporting groups like Cindy’s Pets by providing food and supplies to home-bound senior pets. With the efforts of these and other pet organizations, we believe we can give hundreds of pets a second chance at life every year by rescuing them and helping them find loving homes with loving owners.

We are also a proud sponsor of the Suncoast Symphony Orchestra!
